It was 2005 the first time that I came to Japan and the main reason why I am here today. At that time I spent twenty days all around the main island of Honshu. I probably had the best trip in my life until today. The reason why that trip was so good was mainly because we were in company of my Japanese friend Take who could order for us the best Japanese dishes, and took us into places where the normal tourists can’t go. He is from Numazu, near Shizuoka, which is a place very famous for having excellent fish, I believe the Sushi that I ate there might be the best that I am ever going to try. Take’s family are great hosts, whenever I go to his house they treat me like a king, they were so devoted to make us enjoy Japan that his mother even bought Kobe beef for us. The main places that I always recommend to go in Japan are Kyoto, Nara and Osaka, as they are quite closed to each other. In Kyoto and Nara you will discover all the ancient Japan, with the temples and the Geishas, and in Osaka you can enjoy the party, the delicious Okonomiyaki, the Takoyaki and even maybe some good Fugu, the poisoning balloon fish. Apart for this great trident, of course, the main attraction of Japan is Tokyo. If I just had three days in the metropolis I would start in Shinjuku going to the top of the Tochō building to enjoy the Skyscrapers, I would even had a coffee during the sunset in the Park Hyatt Hotel like Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson did in “Lost in Translation”, I would take a walk around Kabukicho, and try to find the Golden Gai to have a drink in one of it tiny bars. I would take then the famous Yamanote line and stop in Harajuku to take some pictures of the Cosplays or Rockabillies of the Yoyogi Park. Of course I wouldn’t miss one of my favorite enclaves, the Hachiko crossing in Shibuya, Starbucks has an excellent location there. After that I would probably continue until Akihabara to buy some manga or maybe some old videogames and take a look at the cameras or get lost in the little electronic shops. Being in Tokyo I wouldn’t miss visiting the famous Asakusa-kannon, and I would look for a good Tonkotsu Ramen restaurant afterwards. Ramen and Gyozas with a big Asahi (nama Biru) is one of the things I am going to miss more about Japan. At night I might also try to go to Odaiba, taking the monorail is always exciting, and the views of the skyline with the rainbow bridge from the Fuji TV building are simply impressive. You will never get bored in Tokyo. Finally, if I had some more time in Japan, and if it was July or August, I would definitely try to climb the Mount Fuji during the night to be able to watch the sunrise in the morning. That was definitely the most striking experience and the top of my amazing trip in the sunrise empire. And it was one of the most beautiful sunrises in my life.
